Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing Cisco and Meraki network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches and wireless solutions. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the security, stability, and efficiency of our network systems, supporting both on-premises and cloud environments.

Role and Responsibilites

• Design, Implement, and Manage: Architect, deploy, and maintain Cisco/Meraki network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and switches, to meet the company's needs.
• Security Management: Configure and manage Cisco/Meraki Firewalls (ASA, Firepower, MX) to protect network integrity and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Routing & Switching: Manage complex routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF) and advanced switching technologies, ensuring optimal network performance and reliability.
• Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring the continuous operation of the network, including wireless networks.
• Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor network performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and security across wired and wireless systems.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other teams and customers to support projects, troubleshoot issues, and implement new solutions.
• Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers, sharing expertise and best practices.
• Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to improve our network systems.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on experience with Cisco network technologies, including firewalls, routers, switches and wireless networks.
• Certifications: CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) certification is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills:

1. Deep knowledge of Cisco ASA, Firepower, and other firewall technologies.
2. Expertise in routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
3. Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 switching, VLANs, STP, and related technologies.
4. Extensive experience with Cisco wireless technologies, including Cisco Wireless Controllers, Access Points, and wireless security protocols.
5. Experience with network monitoring tools
6. Proficiency in network security best practices.
