Accessing your Existing Voice Mailbox –
Dial 427-3999
Press # if calling from the phone your voice mail is subscribed to
If using Fast Login (*96) to access from your home phone, then no password is required
If not calling from your phone that the voicemail is subscribed to, then enter your telephone number, followed by the # key
Your password will be a default of four zeros (0000) until you change it
Setting Up Your New Voice Mail Account – Before you can utilize your voicemail, you need to set up your account.
To do so, call the access number, (608)427-3999, from your home phone (Lynxx phone line). You’ll be asked to configure your mailbox. The first-time sign-in involves three steps:
1. Set up a 6-digit pin number
a. A prompt will explain the length of the pin allowed and tell you to enter a pin number of your choice. Note that if you use all or part of your phone number, or number’s in ascending or descending order, you will be asked to enter a new pin for the security of your voicemail account.
2. Record your name
a. Next, you’ll be prompted to record your name. Your recording should be less than 10 seconds long. If it is too long, you’ll be asked to re-record a shorter version.
b. An announcement will play your name back to you.
c. If you want to re-record, press 1. If you want to keep it, press #.
3. Choose a greeting
a. Once you have successfully recorded your name, you’ll be prompted to select a greeting. You can choose from the following options:
• To record your own personal greeting, press 1. Record and press # when finished
• To use a system-generated greeting that announces your name, press
• To use a system-generated greeting that reads out your phone number, press 3.
• To use a system-generated greeting that neither announces your name nor reads out your phone number, press 4.
b. An announcement will play back your selected greeting. To record or select a different greeting, press 1. To save it and use it as your greeting, press #.
c. Once you are finished, you’ll be transferred back to the main menu.
